Football Tipping - Agony or Ecstacy?

In our office we run a football tipping competition each year on the NRL Rugby League.  It gets a bit of banter going as nearly everyone follows a team, some more passionately (madly) than others.  Whilst it isn't sheep stations it does get all the team involved in a common pursuit.

The problem comes when you are one of the passionate ones, who has the colours of your chosen team dyed in your wool.  Like the definition of insanity (doing the same thing over and over and expecting different result) you tip your team week in and week out, often using your joker, only to see them lose half their games.  And then you wonder why you fell just short of taking the big prize at competition end.

Despite the fact that times get tough or your team is going through a "rebuilding phase" (laymans terms = suck this year) you stick with them through thick and thin.
If only we could be as dedicated to our many life or business pursuits.  Too many people give up when it gets tough or for some reason decide the spoils are no longer worth the effort.
Where did the passion go?
Why are we not marching proud and flying the flag?

You have to be enthusiastic about what you do and where you are heading.  Use your passion and excitement to not only drive yourself but to takes those around you along for the ride too.  Do you want to win the premiership or not?  Be like the footballers who focus solely on being there on grand final night holding the cup aloft.

Just imagine ... you succeed and follow through for the first time and now your thirst is not quenched, because you want that feeling of accomplishment and achievement all over again.  Now the sky's the limit, and nothing will hold you back.

You just have to back yourself and believe that by putting faith in what you are doing the results will come.
And just maybe, you'll tip the round.
